Update from Daleville City Schools 3/16/2020

The Daleville City Schools will be closing for students at the end of Monday, March 16th.  We want parents to know that students’ health and safety is our utmost priority and we are committed to protecting them.  We are working on plans to provide lunch and breakfast for our students while we are out next week at drop off points on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday next week.  (We will not serve meals during our spring break.)  We will be providing specific directions about pick up points soon.  Our teachers are also working on some instructional procedures for our students to continue to have practice and review while they are out of school.  We will postpone evening meetings and all sporting events until further notice.  Please know that our entire staff is resolved to go above and beyond to ensure our students’ physical, emotional, and intellectual needs are met while we are closed.

Update from Daleville City Schools 3/15/2020

Daleville City Schools will be open Monday, March 16 - Wednesday, March 18, on our normal schedule. We encourage all students that have any medical conditions to stay home beginning tomorrow. All absences during this time will be excused.

Below you will find the codes to join the grade level Remind groups for the high school. We are asking that only one member of each family join due to the limited number of spots that Remind allows for each group. We also ask that the person joining be a parent or guardian.

Update from Daleville City Schools 3/13/2020

Since Alabama schools will be closed from March 19th through the next two weeks with the target return April 6th, Daleville City Schools has developed a contingency plan and will continue to work closely with our state and local partners to ensure we are prepared now that the virus is in Alabama. We have been directed by the Alabama State Department of Education to cancel all after school and extracurricular events while schools are closed.  Students will be receiving packets of assignments before we get out of school on Wednesday, which will be for practice only.  We will communicate with parents using the school websites, Facebook, and Remind.  We will also use our School Messenger to call and leave messages to parents so please make sure we have current contact numbers by Monday, March 16th.  I encourage parents to continue to check the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control websites.

Students are required to carry their school issued student planner at all times.  These are used for hall passes during class.  If it is lost or misplaced new ones are available for purchase in the front office for $4.00.
