Dear Daleville Parents,

At DCS we are working to provide a safe and quality education for our students. As we plan, we are seeking your thoughts and concerns.  As we work with the State Department of education to implement a virtual school option, we are gathering information about our students' needs. We need your help to determine how many parents are interested in their children participating in virtual options next year. Please take a few minutes to complete the short survey by Monday, June 22nd, so we can analyze our data and better assess your children's educational needs. If you have any questions, please call 334-598-2456, Monday - Thursday, from 7:30-5:00. We greatly appreciate your input.

Thank you.
Dr. Lisa Stamps, Ph.D

Feeding Program Update

Daleville City Schools will be suspending our meal program until further notice starting April 9, 2020. This decision was made in efforts to keep our staff, students, and community safe. Thank you for allowing us to serve your family.

Instructions for Packet Pickup on Monday, April 13, 2020

Packets will be available for pickup beginning at 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Monday, April 13, 2020, in front of Daleville High School. When you pull up to the school, remain in your vehicle and tell us your child's name and we will bring the packet to you. In order to minimize contact we would prefer to place it in your trunk if it can be opened from within your vehicle or through a window where no one is sitting. The packets will be due back on Monday, April 27, 2020, and will need to be placed in the drop box in front of the school. The drop box will not be out front until April 27th. Our plan is for you to be able to pick up another packet that day that will be due on May 11, 2020. If you have any questions, please private message them with the name of your child.

Additional Information

Seniors will be called individually by Mr. Robertson and Mrs. Lawrence to discuss their standing towards graduation.

We will let everyone know when and how they will be able to pick up items left in lockers.

The Daleville City Schools will be closing for students at the end of Monday, March 16th.  We want parents to know that students’ health and safety is our utmost priority and we are committed to protecting them.  We are working on plans to provide lunch and breakfast for our students while we are out next week at drop off points on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday next week.  (We will not serve meals during our spring break.)  We will be providing specific directions about pick up points soon.  Our teachers are also working on some instructional procedures for our students to continue to have practice and review while they are out of school.  We will postpone evening meetings and all sporting events until further notice.  Please know that our entire staff is resolved to go above and beyond to ensure our students’ physical, emotional, and intellectual needs are met while we are closed.

Update from Daleville City Schools 3/13/2020

Since Alabama schools will be closed from March 19th through the next two weeks with the target return April 6th, Daleville City Schools has developed a contingency plan and will continue to work closely with our state and local partners to ensure we are prepared now that the virus is in Alabama. We have been directed by the Alabama State Department of Education to cancel all after school and extracurricular events while schools are closed.  Students will be receiving packets of assignments before we get out of school on Wednesday, which will be for practice only.  We will communicate with parents using the school websites, Facebook, and Remind.  We will also use our School Messenger to call and leave messages to parents so please make sure we have current contact numbers by Monday, March 16th.  I encourage parents to continue to check the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control websites.

Students are required to carry their school issued student planner at all times.  These are used for hall passes during class.  If it is lost or misplaced new ones are available for purchase in the front office for $4.00.
