Education

I graduated from California Baptist University with a degree in English Literature.  During my time at Cal Baptist I enjoyed learning about British literature and psychology in literature.  I furthered my private school education with a teaching degree from Chapman University in California. I obtained my Master's Degree in educational leadership from the University of Alaska Southeast.  And because I can't get enough school, I'm working on another Master's Degree in strategic communication from Troy University.

Experience

I have over 10 years of experience in education.  I've taught English in grades 6-12 in California, Washington, Alaska, and Alabama.  I've also worked for the state department of education in Alaska.  Fun fact: I've attended meetings at the Department of Education in Washington DC!

Bio

I LOVE teaching and I LOVE English.  My greatest strength as an English teacher is teaching students how to write.  I'm also energetic and motivating.  I try to create an environment where students feel comfortable and excited to learn!  I am a military wife, so I understand what our local military families go through.

I enjoy traveling, the beach, all things Disney, and my three furry children.  I am a firm believer in air conditioning.  I am very much against bugs and critters.
